It is with great excitement to provide medical care to anyone in the community regardless of insurance status. This allows for excellent access to care, lower costs, and price transparency,.
The ROW Health Co. is great for everyone - those with low or high deductible insurance, HSA accounts, uninsured people, or using a health share.
The ROW Health Co. provides primary health care for all ages. We can take care of 80-90% of your needs at a low cost and help coordinate additional care, if needed.
Insurance is not structured to be used for primary care, just as your home or car insurance are not used for simple maintenance, like painting your home, cleaning gutters, changing your oil or getting new brakes or tires.
The ROW Health Co. recommends you have health insurance in the event of an unexpected health issue or injury that The ROW Health Co. is unable to manage/treat.
-
The ROW Health Co. absolutely recommends having insurance for the unexpected events that requires additional services that The ROW Health Co. is unable to treat or fix.
-
According to the IRS Publication 502 under “What Are Medical Expenses?,” it does appear your membership is tax deductible expense, as the publication includes payments to physicians.

In regard to the HSA/FSA, there are not clear answers at this time. Both small and large, corporate DPC clinics do accept them. However, I recommend you discuss these considerations with your accountant.

Yes, Absolutely! Everyone benefits from a service customized directly to them, as we do in this truly innovative model of health care.
Unfortunately, most medical care has become very reactionary; something we use as a reaction to symptoms or being sick. While we always provide SICK CARE for our patients, it is also important to be proactive and preventive and create plans for HEALTH CARE. The ROW Health Co. will help reduce advanced illness or injury, in turn preventing need for urgent and emergency care by addressing concerns promptly and thoroughly with excellent follow up.
-
The physicians at The ROW Health Co. will collaborate and coordinate your care with the specialists and the hospital, as needed.
Please note: Your membership to The ROW Health Co. does not cover specialty or hospital care. Please refer to Member Participation Agreement for exclusions.

No, The ROW Health Co. is a direct primary care (DPC) practice. This is different than concierge practices as we do not bill insurance for visits or collect co-pays on top of the monthly fee. Our goal is eliminate barriers to medical care - no co-pays, longer appointment times, excellent access, personalized care.
-
At this time, Medicare will still be billed as it is in the traditional “fee for service” model you are used to.
Medicare has strict rules requiring the physicians to “opt out” if they want to provide a monthly membership to Medicare patients. To help support start-up costs, the physicians are unable to “opt out” at this time.
I hope this will change in the near future.

Because illness and injury do not respect regular office hours, you may call your physician after hours for triage of URGENT health needs. Additionally, home visits and after-hours urgent visits may be available for a modest additional fee as schedules permit. You may always use our secure patient portal to access your medical record and then e-mail your physician regarding non-urgent or emergent reasons. It’s how we do custom healthcare.
Please call 911 or go to the Emergency Room for emergencies. Please go to the urgent care for urgent matters if the event our physicians are unavailable.
So, you’re available 24/7/365? …Not exactly. We are primary care physicians. This means we can address most problems, most of the time. We are cultivating something sustainable, enjoyable and transformative. And it requires a partnership with our patients. In this age of instant responses and digital access, we are striving for sustainability. We ask our patients to try and contact us during normal business hours, as much as possible with the rare need to contact us on off-hours.

This is another perk of a DPC practice!
Since we are independent of the restrictions of third-party payment, patients enjoy the freedom of care from their physician when and where they need it.
Because we know you very well, we can streamline your care when you’re sick away from home. Many illnesses can be diagnosed and treated with a simple conversation by phone, email, text or webcam. We’ll locate the nearest pharmacy and order the medications most appropriate for your circumstances. If you need to be seen in person in your location while traveling, it’s possible we have a DPC physician colleague near you that we can coordinate care with.

We are excited to partner in your health + care! Please go to the pricing page to review pricing. Once you are ready, schedule an appointment! We look forward to meeting you soon!

Yes, DPC is a modern innovation to health care with the old “country doc” feel. Making house calls is something special that we can offer! We charge $100/house call. Membership to the practice includes any/all visits in our office or via virtual platform for no additional charge. We typically make house calls for members who cannot or its difficult to leave their homes (including new Moms/babies).

No. Our patients do not wait for their appointments. Because we do not see patients every 15-20 minutes, squeezing in 20-30 patients per day, we are able to see our Members on time.
We also routinely have same-day or next-day appointments for our Members.
So, when you’re a Member, you can have the peace of mind that you’ll be seen, on time, and when you need it.

It is important to make sure this practice is the right fit for everyone, both the Member and the Physician.
Also, the practice is limited in number of patients that are accepted so we can follow through on our promise to our Members. If full, we will have a wait list.
