Chronic Disease Management:

Dr. Tornberg is a skilled physician and fully capable of managing most medical conditions. If specialists are needed or involved, Dr. Tornberg will partner with them and assist in care coordination to optimize your health care and improve health outcomes!

If you suffer from chronic pain, we will advise you about treatment options, including exercise, physical therapy, alternative therapies and non-narcotic pain medications.

At this time, we unfortunately will not prescribe chronic narcotics or benzodiazepines. If needed, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist.

Vaccines:

Influenza and tdap vaccines available. We do not have the standard childhood vaccines available at this time, though we hope this will change in the future!

Currently, I am not doing deliveries. However, I would love to support you and care for you during your pregnancy from 0-13 weeks (1st trimester). At that point, I will provide a warm handoff to an OBGYN or midwife colleague (or person of your choosing) for the 2nd and 3rd trimester and delivery. I will co-manage with your obstetrics provider and try to attend the delivery as your advocate and to do the Newborn exam and follow up visits if you choose.

Dr. Tornberg is also a breastfeeding medicine specialist (IBCLC). Breastfeeding is natural, but that doesn’t mean it is easy. In fact, it is often difficult, stressful and overwhelming. Dr. Tornberg will support you in your breastfeeding goals and help you and your baby along the way during this 4th Trimester. Dr. Tornberg will also do thorough evaluation of possible breastfeeding barriers (including tongue ties or ankyloglossia) and work with you both, as needed.

Frenotomy (tongue tie release) available if indicated. We will also consider craniosacral therapy as well!

If you have an urgent need, we'll do everything possible to see you when it's convenient for you - on the same or next day to ensure you receive the care you need when you need it.

We are able to provide basic testing and procedures. Lab tests (if sent out) and X-rays are not included in the membership, and instead it would be out of pocket costs or with your insurance. I will work with you to find the best price.

If it requires a higher level of care, you may be re-directed to the closet emergency department.

Dr. Tornberg is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Should an urgent need arise, please contact her!

If you have an emergency, please call 911 or go to the Emergency Department!

If Dr. Tornberg believes you need immediate attention, you will be directed to the nearest emergency room and our physician will discuss your care with your emergency room physician.

If you do not require urgent attention, our physician will advise you over the phone and arrange for a follow-up visit in our office as soon as possible.

Although Dr. Tornberg is available to care for you 24/7, please leave the after-hours care for urgent/emergent needs only.

Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment is a set of hands-on techniques used by osteopathic physicians (DOs) to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. The treatment can be used to ease pain, promote healing and increase overall mobility and circulation. Although often used to treat bone and muscle pain, the treatment can also help patients with a number of other health problems (i.e. carpal tunnel syndrome, sinus infection, headache, constipation, tinnitus, etc)
